2018 Chris Evert/Raymond James Pro-Celebrity Tennis Classic Set for November 9 – 11

The 2018 Chris Evert/Raymond James Pro-Celebrity Tennis Classic is set for November 9 – 11. Comedian Jon Lovitz returns to the event as one of the longest running celebrity players. Jon's comedic wit and timing makes him a fan favorite and one to watch and "listen to" while on center court.

Jon Lovitz is a comedic actor widely known for his roles in TV, movies and for his stand-up comedy acts. As a popular cast member of the NBC sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live (1985 – 1990), Lovitz created memorable characters like “Tommy Flanagan, The Pathological Liar” (his catchphrase “Yeah – That’s the ticket!” won’t be forgotten soon!). Lovitz’ voice can be found in many films, some of the most popular include “Artie Ziff” and “Jay Sherman” for Fox Television’s The Simpsons. Between 2007 and 2014, he hosted the Jon Lovitz Comedy Network, a Los-Angeles-based digital entertainment network that was live-streamed on the web. Lovitz has starred in more than 40 films, including the big screen hits, The Benchwarmers and Southland Tales, and he had roles in The Producers, Big and Stepford Wives. His television credits include Hot In Cleveland, Two and a Half Men and Las Vegas.

Jon will join Chris Evert, other celebrity friends and tennis pros for two days of tennis at the Delray Beach Tennis Center (November 10 & 11). The weekend also includes the Saturday evening Gala which begins with red carpet celebrity appearances followed by dinner, dancing, live and silent auctions and entertainment at the Boca Raton Resort and Club.

Last year, the Pro-Celebrity Tennis Classic raised $800,000 dollars. Since 1989, Chris Evert’s efforts have contributed over $24 million in an ongoing campaign against drug abuse and child neglect in Florida. The monies raised are distributed to programs funded through the Ounce of Prevention Fund of Florida and the Drug Abuse Foundation of Palm Beach County.
