Broward Health Coral Springs Unveils MRI Suite

(l-r) Drew Grossman, CEO of Broward Health Coral Springs; Ronniw Owens, Regional Manager of Radiology; Patricia Kuhn, Lead Tech: and Carl Raboi, Medical Director of Radiology.
Broward Health Coral Springs (BHCS) has opened its new MRI suite. With the addition of the new GE MRI and Sentinelle Vanguard 16-channel breast imaging table, the MRI suite allows BHCS to expedite its inpatient load, as well as accommodate additional outpatient exams.
The new technology offers physicians uncompromised image capability for the most advanced and demanding exams thus allowing for more accurate diagnosis.
For patients, the feet-first imaging alleviates claustrophobia. The large opening adds patient space for comfort and supports patients weighing up to 500 pounds. The table surface also offers different cushion densities that alleviate pressure points.
The goal of the MRI suite is to speed up the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Prior to the addition of the suite, MRI exams were bottlenecked, which led to longer hospital stays and extended wait times for outpatient appointments. The new MRI suite provides faster response times and shorter wait times, which will improve patient satisfaction while increasing the number of exams done each day.
