Holy Cross Cardiologist Dr. Karan Munuswamy Elected President of American Diabetes Association's South Florida Region

Dr. Karan Munuswamy of the Holy Cross Medical Group has been elected president of the board of directors for the American Diabetes Association's South Florida region.

During his tenure as board president of both of these organizations, he oversaw the fundraising of millions of dollars in support of medical research and community education programs.
In recognition of his community leadership, Dr. Munuswamy was recognized by Leadership Broward during the Profiles in Leadership Gala in 2016. He also is a past recipient of the Opera Society of Broward's Humanitarian Award and the American Diabetes Association's Valor Award and Volunteer Achievement Award for outstanding service to the community.
