IRMC Welcomes Medical Oncologist Patrick Judson, M.D. to the Scully-Welsh Cancer Cente

Indian River Medical Center (IRMC) welcomes board-certified Medical Oncologist Patrick Judson, M.D., to its multi-specialty group of physicians.

Dr. Judson received his baccalaureate and medical degrees from George Washington University in Washington, DC. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii and served a fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, Hematology and Hospice and Palliative Medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Judson received the Caring Physician Award from People Living Through Cancer, State of New Mexico, and was the recipient of two Meritorious Service Medals. Previous appointments include Medical Director Hematology/Medical Oncology at Augusta Health Care Center in Fishersville, VA and Medical Director Hematology-Medical Oncology at Great Plains Regional Medical Center, North Platte, NE. He served as staff physician at Norris Cotton Cancer Center in Keene, NH and at Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster, PA and held numerous leadership positions in addition to staff physician at Cancer Institute of New Mexico in Santa Fe, NM; Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center in Aurora, CO; and Blanchfield Army Community Hospital in Fort Campbell, KY.
He has contributed to various committees relating to the topics of cancer, transfusion and ethics and has served on many tumor boards. Professional memberships include the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology and the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
