New President/CEO Named for Kids in Distress

Steve Palmer, chairman of the Board of Directors of Kids In Distress of Broward and Palm Beach counties, announced that experienced social services executive Gregory Kurth is the new President/CEO of the organization replacing Thomas J. Tomczyk who is retiring after serving as the Kids In Distress President/CEO since 1996.
Kurth brings more than 15 years of experience in social service agency administration, management and finance to his new position. He was previously CEO of Family Services of Metro Orlando. Additional experience in the field includes serving as senior vice president of One Hope United in Chicago. Prior to that, he was a special assistant to the president of One Hope United and was previously a policy analyst at Child Care Association of Illinois.
