Medical design professionals feel the turbulence within the medical profession as they seek to design the Healthcare facilities of the future.

Enhanced patient centered care delivery which engages patients, families, and staff to improve healthcare in our communities, is a multipronged design activity 

Scheduled to break ground in fall 2016, Kendall Lakes Health and Rehabilitation Center will house 150 total beds consisting of 62 private suites and 44 semiprivate rooms. 

When Martin Health System began a project last year to expand Tradition Medical Center from 90 to 180 beds, it began using an “integrated approach to auditing.” The plan embeds our construction auditors in the project delivery team

Miami Cancer Institute at Baptist Health South Florida is set to open its stunning, new outpatient building on the Baptist Hospital campus later this year. The $430 million facility combines the academic and clinical arenas in a community hospital setting, giving South Floridians access to the highest quality, most advanced cancer care without leaving home.

Hospital and healthcare-related building construction continues to grow in South Florida as the area’s aging population continues to climb. While the trend among healthcare families across the country is downsizing, Florida is renovating and building newer facilities to keep up with demand.

In 2007, Nova Southeastern University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine (NSU-COM) established its Tobacco Training and Cessation Program, which is coordinated through the college’s Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) Program.
