Alejandra Perez, M.D., director of Memorial Breast Cancer Center, is the 2011 Chair for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Put on Your Pink Bra Event, a fundraiser of the American Cancer Society. Making Strides is an annual celebration that honors survivors, remembers those presently and formerly in the battle, raises funds and increases awareness to help beat this disease. “Put on your Pink Bra” is this year’s inaugural theme. The Making Strides 5K fundraising walk is scheduled for Sunday, October 9, 7:30 a.m. at the Huizenga Plaza in downtown Fort Lauderdale, during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
