Better Brain Health Luncheon to Feature TED Talk All-Star, Dr. Helen E. Fisher Biological anthropologist to share groundbreaking research on brain chemistry and relationships

Nov 1, 2018
Palm Healthcare Foundation’s second annual Better Brain Health Luncheon, sponsored by Jupiter Medical Center’s Calcagnini Center for Mindfulness, will be held on November 1, 2018 at the Kravis Center Cohen Pavilion. The luncheon will feature keynote speaker and TED Talk “All-Star,” Helen E. Fisher, PhD, a pioneer in the research of human personality and the neurochemistry of leadership.  Dr. Fisher, a biological anthropologist, has been named one of “the 15 most amazing women in science today” by Business Insider. She will present her groundbreaking research showing the importance of social relationships to brain health and overall well-being and the adverse effects of social isolation on the brain.
The inaugural Better Brain Health Luncheon exceeded expectations with 350 attendees —a testament to the importance of brain health for overall wellness and its personal impact on people’s lives.  The November 1st luncheon will support the foundation’s leadership role in funding innovative solutions to brain health, including substance use disorder programs and research through its new $1 million Campaign for BetterBrain Health.  The importance of funding is significant as research shows that eighty percent of people will experience a mental health crisis at some point in their lives, and support for mental health conditions has claimed the top spot of Palm Beach County’s greatest unmet healthneeds for several years in a row.
Sponsorships for the Better Brain Health Luncheon are available and individual tickets are $150.
