Camillus Health Concern (CHC) Inc. Receives More Than $600,000 from HRSA to Expand Dental, Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services

Camillus Health Concern (CHC) Inc. is honored to announce that it has recently received two grants from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) totaling more than $600,000. Far more important than the amounts of the awards is what those awards will allow CHC to accomplish.

Thanks to a $337,400 award, CHC will build a state-of-the-art Dental Suite expanding the number of patients that can be served. CHC applied for this grant because of the clear needs of its patients for greater access to quality dental care. “We were honored to receive this important grant,” said CEO Francis Afram-Gyening.
A grant of $285,000 will allow CHC to expand the services it offers to address the scourge of substance abuse and mental health disorders. “Mental health and substance use disorders are prevalent among the population we serve,” Afram-Gyening noted. “This grant will assist in addressing the issue in a creative, innovative fashion.”
CHC is proud to be recognized by HRSA as providing vital quality services to its patients. “Our patients deserve the very best possible care for whatever needs they have,” said Afram-Gyening. “Dental, mental health and substance use services are in very high demand and we are pleased to be able to expand to meet that demand.”
Camillus Health Concern will be providing regular updates on its website ( about the progress of renovations and the launch of these important new services.
