Cardiology Profiles - St. Mary's Medical Center

Elliot Pearson, MD
Dr. Elliot Pearson is a pediatric cardiologist on staff at the Palm Beach Children’s Hospital at St. Mary’s Medical Center. He has a special interest in advanced techniques in non-invasive cardiac imaging by ultrasound. Dr. Pearson’s clinical interests include perinatal cardiology (fetal echocardiography), chemotherapy-induced cardiotoxicity, and mixed connective tissue disease. He earned his medical degree from the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine and graduated with research distinction for his work on critical congenital heart disease screening in infants. He completed his Pediatrics training at the University of Miami / Jackson Memorial Hospital and completed his fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at Duke University Medical Center. Dr. Pearson is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Heart Association.
Muneer Hassan, MD
Dr. Muneer Hassan is a neurologist on staff at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Dr. Hassan specializes in general neurology, intracranial monitoring, stroke and neurocritical care. Dr. Hassan earned his medical degree from American University of the Caribbean in the Netherlands Antilles. He went to do his residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee in neurology. He then completed his fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee in vascular neurology. Prior to working at St. Mary’s, Dr. Hassan was on staff at Providence Sacred Heart in Spokane, Washington. While there Dr. Hassan focused on vascular neurology and was a faculty neurohospitalist. Dr. Hassan is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the Advanced Neuroscience Network.
