Florida Medical Center Appoints Sharmila Perez as Administrative Director of Critical Care Services and the ICU

May 7, 2020 – Florida Medical Center welcomes Sharmila Perez as its new hospital Director of Critical Care Services and the ICU. In her new role, Perez will be responsible for the care provided in the ICU, as well as its staff, to ensure the delivery of high-quality care. She will also manage patient flow, and will collaborate with physicians to ensure the program exceeds expectations for its patients. 
 
Perez has more than 20 years of healthcare experience. She served as a leader at sister hospital, Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, for the past 10 years.  Her last position there was as the Administrative Director of the Cardiovascular Service Line.
   
“We are excited to welcome Sharmila to Florida Medical Center,” said Jeffrey M. Welch, hospital CEO. “She is truly committed to providing excellent patient care and enhancing the experience for our patients.”
 
Perez earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Florida Atlantic University.
 
She is also a member of the, American Association of Critical Care Nurses, Florida Nurses Association and American College of Healthcare Executives.
