Keith Foster Named Chief Medical Officer of Broward Health North

Broward Health North has named Keith Foster, M.D., MBA, CPE, and FAAPMR, as the new chief medical officer.

Prior to joining Broward Health North, Dr. Foster served as the associate medical director and chief of the Division of Neuroscience at Memorial Rehabilitation Institute. In this role, he helped develop and design one of the first rehabilitation telemetry units in the country, creating a higher level of medical care in rehabilitation while avoiding unnecessary 30-day re-admissions. He also helped execute the ACGME approval for a four-year categorical residency for physical medicine and rehabilitation. Additionally, he assisted in building a curriculum for required and elective rehabilitation rotations attended by medical students from Florida Atlantic University, Florida International University, Nova Southeastern University, as well as outside visiting students.
Dr. Foster holds a medical degree from St. George's University in St. George, Grenada; a Master of Business Administration from East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina; and a Bachelor of Science in psychology from the University of Miami.
