Let's Connect: SFHEF Spotlight

Greetings colleagues. I’m Kristen Palanza, the 2015 Communications Chair for the South Florida Healthcare Executive Forum (SFHEF). My full time role is with Park Shore Pharmacon, a closed-door, long term care (LTC) pharmacy located in Hallandale Beach, FL. I was introduced to the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and SFHEF (ACHE’s local chapter) through one of my mentors during the course of my master’s degree, Heather Rohan, CEO, TriStar Centennial Medical Center, TN. Heather advised me to align myself with a premier organization committed to helping healthcare professionals navigate our bustling industry, so that at any time, I have substantial resources at my fingertips. SFHEF is a premier organization committed to you, your healthcare career and the healthcare industry at-large. Over the years, SFHEF has exposed me to healthcare experts, exceptional leaders, new mentors and educational opportunities unsurpassed by any other organization. With the help of SFHEF, I’ve created a solid foundation for personal and career growth and am constantly building relationships with valued colleagues.
But isn’t SFHEF an organization only for hospitals? The answer is a resounding NO! It is more important today than ever that all healthcare corporations come together with the common goal of understanding how each healthcare entity functions and how we are all connected. If we all do our parts, although we don’t all directly work together, we will collectively improve the quality of services for our community while effectively decreasing healthcare costs. SFHEF brings us together, hospitals and ancillary healthcare entities alike, to learn about each other’s respective healthcare organizations, and that’s why we need you to join SFHEF.
If you are looking to meet industry leaders; provoke critical thinking; and learn more about the healthcare organizations in your own backyard, consider connecting with us and becoming a member of SFHEF. Register to attend one of our educational and/or networking events. Look for myself or another board member. Share with us who you’d like to meet and help us learn about the company you represent. I look forward to meeting you.
Until next time, I’m Kristen Palanza ... let’s connect!
