Simone Sellier, SLP.D., CCC-SLP., has been named Area Director of Community Relations for Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Foundation. While Nicklaus Children’s Hospital (formerly Miami Children’s Hospital) is located in Miami, her responsibility will be to create greater awareness in Palm Beach County of the hospital’s specialized programs and services that are provided to children with complex health issues from all over the country and world.  Simone will also be working closely with the Nicklaus Children’s Health Care Foundation, founded by Jack and Barbara Nicklaus in 2004 in an effort to provide families access to world-class pediatric healthcare.
Collaborating with pediatric hospitals across the country, the Nicklaus Children’s Health Care Foundation has grown from a vision to reality, supporting innovative programs focused on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of childhood illness.
Nicklaus Children’s collaborates locally with Jupiter Medical Center. This affiliation provides children with access to a 12-bed inpatient unit in the Palm Beach area with leading pediatric physicians and specialists not available at Jupiter Medical Center. This allows the children to be cared for in their community.
Founded in 1950 by Variety Clubs International, Nicklaus Children’s Hospital – a part of Nicklaus Children’s Health System – is South Florida’s only licensed specialty hospital exclusively for children, with more than 750 pediatric sub-specialists.  The 289-bed hospital is renowned for excellence in all aspects of pediatric medicine with several specialty programs ranked among the best in the nation from 2008-2017 by U.S News and World Report.
Prior to this position, Ms. Sellier served for 6 years as the Regional Director of Ambulatory Services for Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.
