Salute to Nursing - Good Samaritan Medical Center

Eric Binder, RN, ADN, BS
Friends and family always told Eric Binder he would make a great nurse. When he finally listened to their suggestion, he quickly realized they were right. Eric has been a nurse on staff at Good Samaritan Medical Center’s emergency department for the past eight years. When Eric discusses what makes working at Good Sam so unique, he says it’s the focus they put on the individuals that they care for. Eric says the patient always should come first no matter what. When Eric isn’t helping people recover in the ER, he spends most of his off days taking care of his children. Eric says his kids keep him really busy and he enjoys spending time with them.
Hilda Andalis, RN, BSN, MA-N
Hilda Andalis has experience in nursing for over 30 years, 13 of those have been spent at Good Samaritan Medical Center. Hilda calls being a nurse a childhood dream. She says what’s most rewarding about being a nurse is the unexplainable feeling of happiness and satisfaction when you know you’ve made a difference in someone’s life. Hilda says that Good Sam is a second home to her, and she recently was awarded with the DAISY Award for her outstanding work as a nurse. When Hilda isn’t working, you can find her at the movies, running around on the courts playing tennis and her favorite stress relieving activity, shopping.
