Westside Regional Medical Center Acquires a Third Life-Saving Surgery Robot

February 24, 2020 - Westside Regional Medical Center in Broward County has acquired a third minimally invasive surgery robot. The award-winning 250-bed hospital is a part of HCA Healthcare in East Florida, the largest robotic surgery network on the East Coast of Florida. Westside Regional Medical Center combines the expertise of its highly skilled surgeons and state-of-the-art technology to provide its patients with the very best care possible.

There are several advantages to robotic surgery. Westside’s surgery robots have high-definition 3D cameras that provide surgeons with a view of the operating site that is magnified and much more detailed than is available to the naked eye. Robotic Surgery also offers patients less pain, smaller incisions, less scarring and a quicker return to daily activities.

In celebration of adding a third life-saving robot, Westside Regional Medical Center is hosting a Robotics Night Meet and Greet on Wednesday, February 26, from 5:30PM to 7:30PM. The event will take place at Westside Regional Medical Center’s Cafeteria located on 8201 W Broward Blvd. Plantation, FL 33324. Westside Regional Medical Center welcomes friends and families of the community to join them for an interactive experience with their surgery robots as well as the opportunity to tour their newly renovated same-day surgery unit.
