March 15, 2023 Raphi Wald, Psy.D., is a board-certified neuropsychologist at Marcus Neuroscience Institute, established at Boca Raton Regional Hospital. He helps patients who have any form of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia, frontotemporal dementia and diffuse Lewy body disease. In addition to treating patients experiencing cognitive decline, Dr. Wald also provides neurocognitive assessments for patients with epilepsy, traumatic brain injuries, depression, normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH), awake craniotomies and more.

Before joining Baptist Health, he conducted cognitive evaluations for the elderly and consulted with primary care physicians and neurologists as a neuropsychologist at South Florida Neuropsychology. In this position, Dr. Wald also provided psychotherapy for patients with depression and anxiety. Since 2012, he has served as team psychologist and neuropsychologist for Florida Atlantic University’s athletics department. He helped the university’s athletes by evaluating and providing psychological services and psychotherapy for depression, anxiety disorders, panic disorders and more.

Dr. Wald earned his Doctor of Psychology at the University of Hartford. He completed his predoctoral internship in psychology and neuropsychology at the Neurological Institute at North Broward Medical Center and his postdoctoral residency at Pediatric Psychology Associates in Coral Springs, Florida.

A former executive board member of the American Board of Professional Neuropsychology, Dr. Wald is a sought-after expert. He has done more than 60 news interviews for ABC, NBC and CBS in West Palm Beach on issues, such as dementia, psychological causes of mass shootings and depression.
