October 6, 2021 – Healthcare Network, the only Federally Qualified Health Center in Collier County, was recognized in the RCHN Community Health Foundation’s signature CHroniCles project, “Chronicling the Community Health Center Story.” The project features health centers like Healthcare Network and their stories of providing quality and affordable care to underserved communities throughout the country.

“Chronicling the Community Health Center Story” is a book dedicated to sharing and highlighting the vibrant, diverse and important story of each community health center to honor and preserve the living history of the community health center movement.

Located in diverse urban and rural communities, community health centers are the backbone of the healthcare safety net. Community health centers are distinguished by providing high-quality care with a commitment to access for all regardless of ability to pay. Health centers provide effective, culturally and linguistically relevant health care outreach, education and clinical services; provide good jobs that, in turn, generate substantial economic activity; and serve as both health care homes and anchors in their neighborhoods, improving the health of individuals and of their communities as a whole.

Founded in 2005, the RCHN Community Health Foundation is a not-for-profit foundation with a unique mission: to support the work of community health centers across America. To learn more about RCHN Community Health Foundation, visit www.rchnfoundation.org.
