May 7, 2019 – The West Palm Beach VA Medical Center will host its annual VA2K Walk and Roll event on Wednesday, May 15 at 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. The event will begin at the Fisher House which is located on the corner of Freedom Way and Independence Avenue on the Medical Center grounds (7305 N Military Trail, West Palm Beach, Florida). 
 
The VA2K is a nationwide event that encourages community health and wellness while also supporting homeless Veterans through collection of donations. Donations of goods for homeless Veterans will be accepted on the day of event and during the days leading up to the event.
This 1.2-mile walking (or rolling) event is free and open to the public. 
 
In 2018 more than 23,270 VA employees, Veterans and community members from around the country participated in the VA2K Walk & Roll, donating goods worth more than $379,300 to help homeless Veterans.
 
Participants may drop off donations at the Fisher House on the day of the event.
 
For information on how to drop off donations prior to the event please contact the West Palm Beach VA’s Voluntary Service office at 561-422-7373. Donors are asked to inform the staff members that the donation is for the VA2K.
