Veteran Founder Authored Medicinal Hemp Research Act to Allow VA to Prescribe CBD and Stem the Tide of Veteran Suicides

July 18, 2019 – Warfighter Hemp, a manufacturer of CBD products derived from industrial hemp-based in Boulder, Colorado, is bringing its medicinal hemp alternative solutions of VA-prescribed opioids to thousands of veterans attending the 120th VFW National Convention July 20-24 at the Orange County Convention Center. Visit Booth #1213 in the Health Fair. Warfighter Hemp is the first and only CBD manufacturer to be featured at the Convention.

Participants convene to approve new national priorities to guide the VFW organization as they lobby Congress on issues important to the nation’s veterans, service members and their families. Warfighter Hemp is working with legislators in Washington, D.C. to sponsor the 2019 Medical Hemp Research Act that would allow the VA to research and prescribe CBD derived from industrial hemp as an alternative to opioids, which is contributing to 22 suicides per day in the Veteran community.

“On my last tour of duty at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center I saw what opioids were doing to our nation’s bravest soldiers, who had sacrificed so much for freedom. I knew there had to be a better solution,” said Lt. Col (ret) Steve Danyluck, USMC and founder, Warfighter Hemp. “We have to get our Veterans off this zombie dope that the VA is prescribing so they can regain a full, vibrant life for themselves and their families.”

CBD derived from industrial hemp is currently being used by Veterans and civilians to withdraw from opioids and manage their pain, anxiety, insomnia, depression, and PTSD, among other ailments.

Featured CBD Products
Warfighter Hemp will be showcasing its latest products including the new 6000 tincture for those suffering from chronic pain, a skin-soothing bath bomb mix, and the company’s extension of its body line with a new sunscreen. Warfighter Hemp products are manufactured from CBD derived from 100% organic hemp, grown on Colorado’s largest hemp farm. Fifty percent of all Warfighter Hemp proceeds go to support Veteran charities.

Spartan Sword & Spartan Pledge
The Spartan Sword will make an appearance at the Warfighter Hemp booth. Aaron Clark, a New York City firefighter and Marine, travels the country sharing the Spartan Sword, which is forged of steel from the fallen World Trade Centers. The Spartan Sword is used with the Spartan Pledge, a simple two-sentence oath that one Veteran gives to another pledging that they will be there for one another as a "Battle Buddy" and that they promise to reach out during a time of crisis before doing any irreparable harm to themselves.
