December 4, 2025 – Hendry Regional Medical Center Foundation and WISH (Women Involved in Supporting the Hospital) proudly announce Kirk Timonera as the 2025 WISH Scholarship Recipient.
This year, WISH received seven outstanding applications from individuals pursuing a career in nursing. To be considered, applicants must submit a completed application, full academic transcripts, a personal letter, two letters of recommendation, and commit to a four-year nursing career at HRMC upon graduation. Each candidate also participates in an in-person interview with members of the WISH Committee, Human Resources, and Senior Leadership.
After a highly competitive selection process, Kirk Timonera was chosen as the 2025 recipient. Kirk stood out for his deep love for the community and his desire to follow in his father’s footsteps within the healthcare field. His passion for serving others and dedication to improving the wellbeing of those around him made a lasting impression on the committee.
Kirk is currently enrolled at Palm Beach State College pursuing his nursing degree. Upon graduation and successfully sitting for his nursing boards, he will begin his career right here at Hendry Regional Medical Center as a Registered Nurse, fulfilling his commitment and bringing his skills back to the community he cares so deeply about.
WISH, founded in 2012 by a group of dedicated women, is a philanthropic initiative of the HRMC Foundation focused on supporting healthcare, empowering future nurses, and giving back to the community through strategic fundraising and volunteerism.
Applications for the 2026 WISH Scholarship will open next year, and WISH encourages anyone passionate about nursing and committed to serving their community to apply.
