NOVEMBER 5, 2025 – Ana Ester, a brave 6-year-old pediatric cancer patient, rang the bell to mark the end of her chemotherapy treatment at Broward Health Medical Center.
Her cancer journey began more than a year ago when stomach pain and swelling led her parents to seek medical help. Tests revealed a mass in her stomach, and a biopsy confirmed every parent’s worst fear: stage 4 metastatic rhabdomyosarcoma.
After 18 months of chemotherapy, Ana, a first grader from Deerfield Beach, is now cancer free. Surrounded by her parents, siblings and the care team who supported her every step of the way, she celebrated this milestone with cheers, smiles and a surprise visit from Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue.
