During the annual Doctor’s Day luncheon at Florida Medical Center in March, Dr. Ralph Zagha, urologist, was presented with the hospital’s Physician of the Year award. Dr. Zagha was selected by his colleagues and hospital staff based on his leadership in areas such as computerized physician order entry compliance, service on various hospital committees and overall patient relations.
 
Dr. Zagha has been serving as a urologist at Florida Medical Center since 2006, and holds leadership positions such as Chair of the Safety Committee. Dr. Zagha served as Chief of Surgery from 2010 to 2013. He is also a member of the Utilization Management, Operating Room and Medical Care Evaluation Committees. Dr. Zagha graduated from Tufts University School of Medicine. He completed his surgical training at Massachusetts General Hospital and his urology residency at the Lahey Clinic and Boston Children’s Hospital. Using technology available at Florida Medical Center, Dr. Zagha performs minimally invasive procedures for urological conditions ranging from kidney stones to tumors.
