Four-story, 96 private-room addition will offer enhanced patient comfort and care

Delray Medical Center plans to expand its hospital campus with a four-story patient tower and a new, four-level parking garage slated to open in late 2016. The project includes 96 private patient rooms, a helipad and direct elevator access to the emergency department to expedite care for incoming trauma patients. In addition, the hospital’s existing 96 semi-private rooms will be converted into single rooms.

Design work has already begun to make the addition energy efficient and aesthetically pleasing for patients, visitors and staff. Groundbreaking is scheduled in early 2015.
