Coral Gables Hospital congratulates Idalia Moro, R.N., for being named this year’s fourth quarter DAISY Award winner. Moro has worked in the hospital’s Medical-Surgical Unit for seven years. Her co-worker’s said they admire her compassionate demeanor and look forward to working with her every day. Patients have described her as an “angel” whose caring personality helps them heal faster.Moro was presented the "Extraordinary Nurse" award at the hospital’s nursing unit holiday party. The certificate reads: "In deep appreciation of all you do, who you are, and the incredibly meaningful difference you make in the lives of so many people." She also received a sculpture, called “A Healer’s Touch,” that was hand-carved by the artists of the Shona Tribe in Africa.
