The new Board member is president & CEO of the Broward Regional Health Planning Council
Health Foundation of South Florida announced that Michael De Lucca has been elected to its Board of Directors. The Board leads South Florida’s largest philanthropy devoted exclusively to improving the health and well-being of residents and communities within Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties. 
“As we work to build a culture of health in South Florida that addresses the many socio-economic factors that can inhibit well-being, Michael De Lucca has worked toward the same goal throughout his 29 years in health care management,” said Health Foundation of South Florida Board Chairwoman Loreen Chant. She added, “We are fortunate to have such a committed individual on our Board whose expertise fortifies the impact we are making in building healthier communities and improving health for all residents.”
Mr. De Lucca is president and chief executive officer for the Broward Regional Health Planning Council, where he directs a staff of approximately 200 professionals and a budget of more than $100 million that helps support the Council’s programs, including Healthy Families Broward, substance abuse and mental health programs, Transforming Our Community’s Health and a health data warehouse program, which was recognized as an innovative model by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
Health Foundation of South Florida’s other officers for this term are Arthur Finkle, CLU, Arthur Finkle & Associates as Vice Chairman and Roderick King, M.D., CEO of Florida Institute for Health Innovation as Secretary. Richard Lavina, EVP Regional President of HSBC, is the immediate past chairman.
