Pulitzer Prize-winning author and renowned medical oncologist Siddhartha Mukherjee, M.D., joins physicians from Harvard Medical School and Cleveland Clinic to discuss breakthroughs in personalized precision health care at the Personalized Lifestyle Medicine Institute (PLMI) 2016 Thought Leaders’ Consortium conference. The event will be held on Saturday, October 22 through Sunday, October 23 at the Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass, in Phoenix, AZ. Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA), a national network of five hospitals that serves adult patients who are fighting cancer, is sponsoring the program.
Dr. Mukherjee, assistant professor of medicine at Columbia University Medical Center and author of the recently released The Gene, and The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer, which was made into a PBS documentary, will speak about “Kinase Signaling, Insulin Dynamics, and Cancer.”
Jeffrey S. Bland, PhD, FACN, CNS, founder of PLMI, author of The Disease Delusion, and considered the “father of functional medicine,” is chairing the conference.
