Jody Gross, MSN, BA, OCN, has joined the staff of the Miami Jewish Home and Hospital for the Aged at Douglas Gardens as the Executive Director of Douglas Gardens Hospice. Gross, who earned her MSN at Yale University School of Nursing, brings over 25 years of experience in oncology and hospice care including outpatient oncology care, hospice, clinical research and home health to her position.
Among numerous professional publications, she co-edited The Handbook of Oncology Nursing which, on publication, was selected as the American Journal of Nursing’s 1985 " Book of the Year" the first nursing textbook to utilize a symptoms process (as opposed to a disease process) based upon 10 common clinical problems identified by the Oncology Nursing Society.
