Dalmys Gouthmann, R.N., is a School Nurse with the Health Care District of Palm Beach County where she keeps students healthy and ready to learn, orients new school nurses and precepts Palm Beach Atlantic University students. Gouthmann has 26 years of pediatric nursing experience in Florida. Prior to joining the Health Care District in 2014, Gouthmann worked at West Boca Medical Center in the PICU, NICU, nursery, pediatric ER and pediatric floor. While there, she served as an Assistant Nurse Manager and a preceptor for nursing students. Her experience includes working in the ER at Palmetto General Hospital and St. Mary’s Medical Center.
Gouthmann graduated from a five-year degree program at the University of Medical Sciences of Havana. She worked in a hospital in Cuba for two years before coming to the U.S. and passing the nursing board exam.
