March 1, 2024 – St. Mary’s Medical Center welcomed a Leap Year baby early Thursday morning around 6AM. Baby girl Jackelyn was born at 5:54AM, 7lbs,10oz, 20.25 inches, happy and healthy!
Jackeyln’s parents, Jorge and Juana, said they were not expecting a Leap Year baby.
“We were surprised. She was not due for another few days, so it is very special to be born today. This is our first girl after three boys. We are excited,” they said.
And how will they celebrate her birthday?
“We will celebrate the day before and then have a big party every four years. We’ll be accepting donations for her big party every four years if anyone wants to donate!” they said.
