May 16, 2024 — NCH Bonita Emergency Department proudly announces its latest accolade: being voted the best in the nation for overall quality of care by PRC, a leading national vendor specializing in measuring HCAHPS (Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems) surveys for the second year in a row.
PRC, one of America’s largest vendors for administering HCAHPS, partners with organizations to support their efforts in improving healthcare for all by becoming better places for patients to be treated.
HCAHPS (pronounced “H-caps”) is the first national, standardized, publicly reported survey of patients’ perspectives for care received at a healthcare facility or hospital. It is a survey instrument for measuring patients’ perceptions of their care experience. While many healthcare facilities have collected information on patient satisfaction for their own internal use, until HCAHPS there was no national standard for collecting and publicly reporting information about patient experience of care that allowed valid comparisons to be made across healthcare facilities locally, regionally, and nationally.
