May 20, 2024– Representative Kaylee Tuck visited HCA Florida Highlands Hospital during Nurses Week in early May. Representative Tuck is a member of the Florida House of Representatives and oversees District 83, which includes Highlands County – the county the Representative is from and currently resides.

Representative Tuck had the chance to take a tour of the facility and meet with senior leaders and directors during her visit, where they discussed topics ranging from physician recruitment to the hospital’s economic impact on the community.

“Representative Tuck is the House Chair for the Select Committee on Health Innovation, and this meeting was beneficial in helping her gain a deeper understanding of some of the issues healthcare workers are facing,” said Jamie Adair, district aide for Representative Tuck.

“It was a pleasure to have Representative Tuck and her aide, Jamie visit our facility. I’m grateful we had the chance to share more about our enterprise, HCA Healthcare, our plans for improving and growing our services, our financial impact to the County where many of our patients and colleagues reside, and our involvement in the community,” said Joe Gleason, chief executive officer of HCA Florida Highlands Hospital.
