September 3, 2024 – Joshua S. Jue, MD, a urologic surgeon, joins the Palm Beach Health Network urology team. He is a member of the medical staff at Good Samaritan Medical Center in West Palm Beach and Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center.
Dr. Jue specializes in performing the following urological operations and procedures: robotic-assisted radical and simple prostatectomy, robotic-assisted partial and radical nephrectomy, robotic-assisted nephroureterectomy, robotic-assisted pyeloplasty and ureteroplasty, mini and standard percutaneous nephrolithotomy, ureteroscopy and laser lithotripsy, transurethral resection of the prostate, laser enucleation of the prostate, Aquablation and Rezum Therapy, and high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) and cryoablation focal therapy for prostate cancer.
In Manhattan, Dr. Jue created a novel, minimally invasive, surgical technique for tumors of the urinary tract lining of the kidney and ureter, known as an upper tract tumor en bloc enucleation. He has an academic background, earning numerous awards and grants for his research which have resulted in over 50 peer-reviewed publications. In 2022, he was among the top 10 percent Most Cited Clinicians on Doximity. He has delivered medical presentations and lectures on three continents, including North America, South America, and Asia.
More specifically, Dr. Jue treats conditions such as prostate cancer, kidney cancer, bladder cancer, upper tract urothelial carcinoma, ureteropelvic junction obstruction, ureteral and urethral stricture disease, kidney stones, benign prostatic hyperplasia and enlarged prostate, lower urinary tract symptoms and urinary retention, and erectile dysfunction.
Dr. Jue, who has been practicing since 2018, earned his medical degree at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in Miami. He completed his internship in general surgery and his residency in urology at The Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York. He is the first and only resident to be selected as the chief resident for 2 consecutive years in his program’s history. Dr. Jue spent time during his second chief year as an acting clinical fellow to focus on robotic surgery and minimally invasive urologic oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
He speaks Spanish and has performed three surgical mission trips to Honduras. During these trips, Dr. Jue delivered medical supplies, operated in underserved/remote communities, and taught local surgeons minimally invasive techniques. He was the first surgeon to perform ureteroscopy in the region of Olanchito, Honduras.
