HCA Florida Poinciana Hospital announces Victor Llamas as chief nursing officer

December 17, 2024- Poinciana, Fla. – HCA Florida Poinciana Hospital today announced the appointment of Victor Llamas as the hospital’s new chief nursing officer, effective Dec. 30, 2024.

Llamas brings extensive nursing leadership experience to this role, most recently serving as the assistant chief nursing officer at HCA Florida Kendall Hospital. Prior to serving as HCA Florida Kendall Hospital’s ACNO, he was the director of the Intermediate Care Unit, director of the Ortho/Spine Unit, and manager of one of Kendall’s affiliated freestanding emergency rooms.

“Victor’s proven track record of improving patient care, enhancing nursing operations, and fostering team development will be invaluable as we continue to advance our mission of delivering high-quality care to the communities we serve,” said HCA Florida Poinciana Hospital CEO Cullen Brown.

Llamas’s leadership abilities have been widely recognized. In 2022, while in HCA Healthcare’s East Florida Division, he received the Division President’s Award for Leadership Excellence. He brings dedication to nursing, passion for patient care, and commitment to fostering a collaborative team environment to his new role.

Llamas holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Florida International University and is currently completing his Master of Business Administration in Health Systems Management at Grand Canyon University.
