September 12, 2025 – CLEWISTON, FL – The Dr. James D. Forbes Family Medical Center is proud to welcome our newest Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), Anilu Gomez, to the team. A lifelong resident of Hendry County, Anilu brings both professional excellence and a heartfelt dedication to the health and well-being of her hometown.
Raised on the west side of the county in LaBelle, Anilu is a proud graduate of LaBelle High School. She continued her education with a strong focus on healthcare, ultimately earning her Master of Science in Nursing from Nova Southeastern University.
With five years of experience as a Registered Nurse at Gulf Coast Medical Center, Anilu has developed specialized expertise in the care of stroke patients, cardiac patients pre- and post-intervention, heart failure, COPD, diabetes, hypertensive urgency, and post-surgical care. Her clinical knowledge, combined with her lifelong passion for giving back, makes her an exceptional addition to our practice.
Anilu is deeply committed to improving access to care and building strong, trusting relationships with local families. Her decision to return and serve in the very community where she grew up speaks to her unwavering passion for making a difference in Hendry County. She is also bilingual in English and Spanish, allowing her to better connect with and serve the diverse needs of the area.

Anilu is now accepting new patients and is available for appointments Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
