Hospital recognized among the nation’s top 1% for clinical excellence and multiple specialty care distinctions
March 4, 2026 – Miami-Dade County officially proclaimed HCA Florida Kendall Hospital Day on March 3, 2026, in recognition of the hospital’s commitment to clinical excellence, compassionate care, and outstanding patient outcomes.
The proclamation honors HCA Florida Kendall Hospital for being named one of America’s 50 Best Hospitals for 2026 by Healthgrades, placing the hospital in the top 1% nationwide for clinical excellence. HCA Florida Kendall Hospital is the only hospital in Miami-Dade County to be included on the 2026 Best 50 Hospitals list.
The recognition is based exclusively on patient outcomes, evaluating risk-adjusted mortality and complication rates across more than 30 common conditions and procedures at approximately 4,500 hospitals nationwide. It reflects superior performance across multiple specialty lines and areas of care.
HCA Florida Kendall Hospital serves the Miami-Dade community as a 424-bed tertiary care and teaching facility and is one of only two Level I Trauma Centers in the county, providing both adult and pediatric Level I trauma care (ACS verified). BE IT RESOLVED, THAT I, Daniella Levine Cava, Mayor of Miami-Dade County, Chairman Anthony Rodriguez, and the members of the Board of County Commissioners, on behalf of Miami-Dade County and this community, do hereby proclaim Tuesday, March 3, 2026, as HCA Florida Kendall Hospital Day.
