On Saturday, April 11th at The Fort in Fort Lauderdale, South Florida Wellness Network (SFWN) served up an unforgettable day of connection, competition, and community at its 2026 Battle of the Paddles Pickleball Tournament, welcoming 75 players and raising an impressive $11,493.88 in support of mental health, wellness, and recovery initiatives across South Florida. The high-energy event brought together business leaders, healthcare professionals, advocates, and local residents for a shared purpose, proving that when community comes together, meaningful impact follows. From friendly matches to lively raffles, the day was filled with excitement, strong engagement, and an uplifting spirit from start to finish.
The program featured remarks from SFWN leadership, including Susan Nyamora, President & CEO of South Florida Wellness Network, who spoke about the organization’s mission and recognized Board Chair Nancy Merolla for her dedication and leadership. Fort Lauderdale Mayor Dean Trantalis also addressed attendees, highlighting the critical role SFWN plays in strengthening mental health and recovery support throughout the region. Emceed by Kayla Stone, who kept the energy high and the event running seamlessly, the tournament embodied SFWN’s commitment to fostering connection, movement, and hope.
