MammoThon 2026 and “Beating Cancer Together” initiatives aim to remove cost as a barrier to early breast cancer detection for Broward County women

Broward Health is marking Breast Cancer Awareness Month throughout October by hosting two community initiatives designed to make life-saving breast cancer screenings accessible to women regardless of insurance status or income. From October 1-31, the health system will offer discounted and, in some cases, completely free 3D screening mammograms across all Broward Health hospital locations.

MammoThon 2026

Throughout the month, Broward Health will offer 3D screening mammograms for $75 to self-pay, uninsured or underinsured women in the community. No prescription or referral is necessary. Extended hours and weekend appointments will be available at all Broward Health hospital locations across Broward County, making it easier for women to fit the screening into their schedules.

Beating Cancer Together

In partnership with the Florida Department of Health in Broward County, Broward Health will also host Beating Cancer Together, offering completely free mammograms to qualifying women on select dates throughout October.

To be eligible, women must be between the ages of 40 and 64, have little or no health insurance, earn at or below 200% of the federal poverty level and reside in Broward County.

Women who are diagnosed with breast cancer through this screening program may also qualify for free treatment services, ensuring cost is never a barrier to care.

Women must be pre-qualified and registered in advance for this mammogram screening. To register, call 954-762-3649 or visit BrowardHealth.org/Beating-Cancer-Together.

Appointments are available at:

  • Broward Health North on Saturday, October 3, from 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
