October 1, 2026 – Board-certified obstetrics and gynecology physician and fellowship-trained urogynecologist Christina Mezes, D.O., has joined the Christine E. Lynn Women’s Health & Wellness Institute in Boca Raton, a part of Baptist Health South Florida. Dr. Mezes provides care for women with pelvic floor disorders, including pelvic organ prolapse and urinary and fecal incontinence. Her clinical interests include robotic and minimally invasive surgical techniques, uterine preservation, emerging therapies for overactive bladder, including implantable tibial devices, and treating pelvic floor disorders caused by childbirth-related injuries.

Prior to joining Baptist Health, Dr. Mezes served as gynecology on-call teaching faculty at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospitals in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where she also completed a fellowship in urogynecology and reconstructive pelvic surgery. She previously served as a hospital inpatient laborist with Main Line Health System’s Riddle Memorial Hospital and Bryn Mawr Hospital in Pennsylvania.

“We are proud to welcome Dr. Christina Mezes to the Christine E. Lynn Women’s Health & Wellness Institute, where our team is dedicated to providing women with compassionate, comprehensive care at every stage of life,” said Louise Morrell, M.D., chief medical executive with The Eugene M. & Christine E. Lynn Cancer Institute. “Her expertise in pelvic floor medicine will further enhance the specialized services we offer to help women improve their health, comfort and quality of life.”

Dr. Mezes earned her medical degree at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed an obstetrics and gynecology residency at Main Line Health System Lankenau Medical Center and a urogynecology and reconstructive pelvic surgery fellowship at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospitals. Dr. Mezes believes every patient deserves care that reflects their lived experiences, values and goals. “I hope to provide my patients with the information and evidence they need to make informed decisions about their treatment plan,” she said. “Because I can offer the full range of treatments for pelvic organ prolapse and urinary and fecal incontinence, I am able to tailor care to each patient’s needs.”
