August 4, 2026 – Sarasota Memorial Health Care System (SMH) has again been recognized among the nation’s standout hospitals, earning national recognition in nearly 20 different conditions and procedures in U.S. News & World Report’s 2026-2027 “Best Hospitals” report.

The annual study ranks Sarasota Memorial as one of the best hospitals in Florida and #1 in the Sarasota-Manatee metropolitan area, continuing its longstanding position as the region’s highest-ranked health system.

Each year, U.S. News evaluates nearly 5,000 hospitals nationwide, recognizing those that deliver exceptional patient outcomes, clinical quality and safety. In addition to its Best 50 lists, U.S. News also ranks Best Regional Hospitals that rank nationally in at least one specialty or that earn at least eight “high performing” ratings in a range of common and complex conditions and procedures.

SMH-Sarasota earned 17 “high performing” ratings for, among other areas, rehabilitation, cancer, cardiac, orthopedic and stroke care, while SMH-Venice earned recognition for cardiac, orthopedic and diabetes care. Home to the Brian D. Jellison Cancer Institute, the Sarasota hospital’s cancer team was spotlighted for colon, gynecologic, lung and prostate cancer surgery, as well as for the treatment of leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. August 4, 2026 –  Cleveland Clinic has once again earned national recognition as one of America’s best hospitals, according to the 2026-2027 U.S. News & World Report “Best Hospitals” rankings. For the 36th consecutive year, Cleveland Clinic has been named to the Best Hospitals Honor Roll, a distinction awarded to only 20 hospitals nationwide.

U.S. News & World Report also named Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital the No. 4 hospital in Florida and the No. 1 hospital in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale metro area, while also rating it “High Performing” in 20 procedures and conditions.

    • This screening event is presented in partnership with Faith Community Closet, Baptist Health and Florida Health.

While Promise Fund’s program reaches women across Palm Beach, Broward, and Martin counties, it currently operates four co-located screening programs within partner sites in Palm Beach and Broward, and is actively working to secure funding to establish a co-located program in Martin County.

Promise Fund reaches tens of thousands of women in Palm Beach, Broward and Martin Counties who are uninsured, under insured or have limited or no access to healthcare. The organization, founded in 2018 by Ambassador Nancy G. Brinker, is dedicated to increasing survivorship from cervical cancer and breast cancer by providing guided support and access to screenings, as well as early detection, treatment, and beyond.

To date, Promise Fund has reached more than 145,000 women in South Florida through education and advocacy, and has impacted the lives of over 27,000 women through access to screenings, diagnostics, and care and Promise Fund has helped 286 women who were diagnosed with cancer navigate getting treatment.
