January 5 2020 – West Boca Medical Center announces the appointment of Austin Wratchford to the position of Chief Operating Officer.  In this role, Wratchford will manage daily operations and oversee the development and implementation of long-range plans, goals and objectives for West Boca Medical Center.

January 6 2021 –  Palmetto General Hospital recognizes Dr. Jorge Fernandez Sanchez, OBGYN, as the Physician of the Month. 

Janaury 5 2021 – During the first three months of the pandemic, food-secure people did not change their eating habits very much, although some of them turned a bit more to comfort foods, new University of Florida research shows. The study also serves as a cautionary tale for how people might want to eat in future pandemics.
