December 14 2020 – The Lee Memorial Auxiliary celebrated the installation of its 2020-2021 Board of Directors at an outside ceremony in the Garden at Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida. Officers donned masks and practiced social distancing while Chief Human Resources Officer Mike Wukitsch did the honors and also recognized the outgoing board.

December 11, 2020  — Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS) recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of a new state-of-the-art facility in Delray Beach. Located at 5130 Linton Blvd. Suite B-4, Delray Beach, FL 33484, the new clinic provides advanced treatments and a variety of services to adults with cancer. The new location is the fifth FCS facility in Palm Beach County, joining locations in West Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Wellington and Lake Worth (which opened in September 2020).

December 11, 2020 – Dr. Guillermo Pasarin, an experienced and renowned neurosurgeon with Sunrise Medical Group has been named “Physician of the Quarter 2” at Florida Medical Center, a campus of North Shore in Fort Lauderdale. Dr. Pasarin was described by his peers and colleagues as highly-engaged and recognized for his outstanding service and commitment to delivering high quality care to patients. Dr. Pasarin is truly committed to a “Community Built on Care.”

December 11, 2020 – The Lee Health Auxiliaries of Lee Memorial Hospital/HealthPark Medical Center/Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida, Cape Coral Hospital and Gulf Coast Medical Center announced commitments totaling more than $1.11 million for Fiscal Year 2020 to benefit Lee Health patients, their families, staff, physicians and the Southwest Florida community. This continues the Auxiliaries’ legacy of compassion, service, and support.

December 11, 2020 – Dr. Jessica Okun, a highly-skilled neurological surgeon and specialist in brain and pituitary tumors, degenerative spinal disease and neurotrauma, medical student and resident education, was named “Physician of the Quarter 1” at Florida Medical Center, a campus of North Shore located in Fort Lauderdale. Dr. Okun was nominated in a process involving hospital employees and physicians. Dr. Okun is beloved by both staff and patients for her compassion, knowledge and dedication.
