June 24, 2021 – Community leaders came together on Tuesday to commemorate the construction of an inpatient rehabilitation unit at University Hospital and Medical Center, a 317-bed acute care hospital in the heart of South Florida. Known for its robust surgical offerings, including joint replacement, spine and robotic surgery, the hospital’s new unit will provide expanded services to surrounding communities in May 2022.
 

The addition of meQuilibrium enhances Florida Blue’s suite of mental well-being resources

 

June 23, 2021 – Florida Blue, the Blue Cross and Blue Shield plan of Florida, announced that it is now offering 1.2 million of its health plan members access to meQuilibrium, a personalized stress-management solution, to strengthen their resilience and support their mental well-being journey. Florida Blue began offering the tool to employees in 2018. Recently, its availability was expanded to include all Florida Blue members who have an Affordable Care Act (ACA)-compliant individual or small group health plan.
 

 

June 23 2021 – Leadership at Hanley Foundation is announcing a seven-week series of trainings beginning July 14. Free and open to the general public, the Recovery Leadership Institute (RLI) Summer Advocacy Training Series has been created to advance efforts in producing equitable outcomes for all individuals impacted by substance use disorder. The workshops will be presented with in-person and online attendance options. In-person presentations will take place at the Palm Beach County HUB located at 2120 W.
