Aventura Hospital and Medical Center’s CEO Heather J. Rohan recently announced the appointment of Joseph R. Pino, as Associate Administrator.

Pino previously served as Eastern Group Associate for Hospital Corporation of America (HCA)’s corporate office. He began his career with HCA in 1999 as Plant Operations Intern at Regional Medical Center in Bayonet Point, FL, and later as Administrative Intern at Largo Medical Center in Largo, FL. He went on to serve as Administrative Fellow and ultimately Assistant Administrator for Blake Medical Center in Bradenton, FL.

A Dean’s List student, Pino attended the University of Florida on a Florida Bright Futures Academic Scholarship, and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a Finance Major and Economics Minor in 2002. He earned a Master of Health Administration from University of Florida in 2004.

Pino is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and is an active U.S. Coast Guard Licensed Captain. He previously served as treasurer for the Health Administration Student Association.
