May 11, 2023 Baptist Health Baptist Hospital is being recognized as one of the highest-performing facilities in the country for cardiac surgery after earning a three-star rating from the Society of Thoracic Surgeons for coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) procedures. This honor places Baptist Hospital among the top 10% in the nation for this procedure. The three-star rating is also the highest a hospital can achieve.

“This achievement speaks volumes to the amount of work and effort our team performs on a daily basis to make sure we are giving patients the very best when it comes to cardiac surgical outcomes”, said Dr. Joseph T. McGinn, cardiothoracic surgeon and chief of cardiac surgery at Baptist Health Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute. “I am proud to be able to lead a talented group of medical professionals who make sure our hospital provides some of the most comprehensive care in our community and beyond.”
