February 9, 2024 More than 250 guests attended A Bougainvillea Evening of Gratitude benefiting Baptist Health Mariners Hospital, which was held on January 27, 2024 at the Cheeca Lodge & Spa in Islamorada, Florida. The event raised over $260,000 as the Foundation celebrated its Giving Society members and other donors to Baptist Health Mariners Hospital in Tavernier. All proceeds from the evening will support the hospital’s most critical needs.

Jason Koler from Keys Weekly was the emcee and auctioneer of the evening. The event featured a cocktail hour, dinner, live auction, live band and more. Speakers included Barbara James, Baptist Health Foundation VP; Holly Raschein, Monroe County Mayor and event chair; Patti Stanley, Baptist Health Foundation Mariners Hospital Council chair; Bette Brown, Mariners Hospital Board chair and Drew Grossman, Mariners Hospital and Fishermen’s Community Hospital CEO.

“I am humbled by the outpouring of community support Mariners Hospital has received over the years,” said Patti Stanley.  “Our donors should be proud to know that they have made a tremendous difference to the hospital’s patients and staff.”

Drew Grossman added, “At Mariners Hospital, we are here to provide care for our community when it’s needed most. We remain a small hospital with a very large heart, and an integral part of our community. We are dedicated to excellence in every respect – from our caring employees and superior physicians to the latest medical technology. However, as a not-for-profit organization, we can’t accomplish it without the generous support of our donors.”
