Michael Gittelman has been named executive administrator of the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, part of UHealth – the University of Miami Health System. Gittelman has more than 25 years of health care management experience. Most recently, Gittelman was administrator of the Anne Bates Leach Eye Hospital and the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, two specialty hospitals of the UHealth System. Prior to joining the University of Miami, he was chief operating officer of the Florida Medical Center.
