While 90% of Palm Beach County was left “in the dark” following Hurricane Wilma, Call 4 Health never once closed its doors, and enabled its many South Florida home health and medical clients to remain fully operational before, during, and after the storm.

Working exclusively with the medical community and serving thousands of clients in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties, Call 4 Health is fully aware that lives depend upon the company’s ability to keep its clients’ communication 100% operational. This service is critical for patients with life threatening illness and ultimately saves lives in the South Florida community and beyond.

For the past three years, Call 4 Health has been preparing the company and its employees for this type of disaster situation so that its clients and all whose lives are impacted would never feel the effects of a hurricane or other natural disaster as it relates to their medical communication needs. Prior to Wilma, Call 4 Health stabilized its Boca Raton call center by teaming up with affiliates statewide and partnering with back-up call centers out of Florida. Call 4 Health is proud to report that not one client lost its communication services due to this powerful storm, because Call 4 Health managed those critical calls.

CEO of Call 4 Health, Joseph Pores believes that maintaining a superior level of communication for his clients and providing them with compassionate, professional service is invaluable. “During this storm, our team concentrated on running our emergency medical operations as usual, and I am especially proud of the care our staff always takes with each and every matter.” Pores continued, “Handling the emergency operations communication for the county is just a small part of what we do. Being able to keep our clients in commission, is literally keeping thousands of South Florida medical and home health care patients alive.”

Pulmocair Respiratory Home Care, a Call 4 Health client which supplies life-saving oxygen to its patients lost its power and communication services when the Hurricane Wilma closed one of its South Florida offices. It was crucial that the company remained operational to keep those patients receiving their oxygen and medication so Call 4 Health has invited the company to work from its offices until it regains power.

“Our Delray office was destroyed by the hurricane. Call 4 Health invited us to work from its headquarters in Boca Raton enabling Pulmocair to maintain full client-services and communication over the past few days,” stated Michelle Janoff, Customer Service Manager for Pulmocair. “I am overwhelmed by how compassionate and professional the entire Call 4 Health staff is. South Florida has gone through such a tough time, but Call 4 Health has opened its doors to us and has made us feel right at home.”

Call 4 Health, contracted by the Palm Beach County Medical Society and the Health Care District of Palm Beach County to handle ‘crisis and disaster’ calls for the county, has already fielded an average of 10,000 extra phone calls per day since Hurricane Wilma’s visit yet Call 4 Health maintains its stellar 24/7 services for its local and national clientele.
