Boca Raton Community Hospital (BRCH) announced that Karen Poole and Ed Hannah have been appointed on a permanent basis to the positions of Chief Operating Officer and Chief Nursing Officer respectively. Both Poole and Hannah had been serving in these roles under a management contract with FTI Healthcare.
Poole has more than 30 years experience in healthcare operations and has held numerous hospital Chief Executive Officer and Division President positions. Her expertise includes general hospital operations, managed care, team building, strategic planning, clinical operations improvement, labor productivity, market share growth and profit improvement.
Hannah is also a seasoned professional with over 30 years in nursing leadership positions. His senior leadership roles have included serving as Chief Nursing Officer in large, regional tertiary teaching Level 1 trauma centers associated with multi-facility healthcare systems, serving as CNO in a magnet organization, providing clinical leadership in cardiac, critical care and emergency care services and successfully improving nurse retention, staffing and productivity.
