August 21, 2025 – Exciting news! Broward Health Coral Springs has expanded its cardiac services and now offers left-sided ablations to treat atrial fibrillation (AFib), the most common heart arrhythmia and a leading cause of stroke.
Cardiac ablation is a minimally invasive procedure that uses energy to create tiny scars in the heart, blocking abnormal electrical signals and helping restore a normal heart rhythm.
Under the expert care of Dr. Jonathan Nieves, the first procedure was a success.
With this advancement, Broward Health Coral Springs is proud to provide comprehensive electrophysiology treatments and bring advanced heart care to the western part of Broward County.
